Rules
Generally we are pretty relaxed as far as the rules go. There are a few rules that ought to be clarified to avoid any disagreements. This is just an outline, and not an all-inclusive list of rules. We are certainly open to any suggestions that anyone else might have regarding the rules.
- Serves do not have to be served to the box on the opposite side. You just have to make the ball hit your side and then hit your opponent's side.
- If you hit the net on a serve, and the ball then hits your opponent's side, you get one more chance.
- If you hit the ball before it has hit your side, it is your opponent's point. This includes balls that might have otherwise gone off the table. If you hit it before the bounce, it's your opponent's point, period.
- Switch serves every 5 points.
- You automatically lose if the score is 7 to 0 or 11 to 1. We like to call this "getting skunked".
- You must win by at least 2 points.
